Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney says the whole squad has been given a boost by the arrival of World Cup winner Bastian Schweinsteiger.
The 29-year-old said the signing of the Germany skipper alongside Matteo Darmian, Memphis Depay and Morgan Schneiderlin has given all the players in the squad a lift.
The Reds striker feels excited by the arrival of Schweinsteiger, who won eight Bundesliga titles with Bayern Munich, and is looking forward to lining up alongside him and the rest of his new team-mates after flying out to the United States for the club’s pre-season tour.
